Heute kam die Cousine der Kids vorbei, um „Gastlehrerin“ zu sein. Sie ist Lehrerin von Beruf und hat jetzt schon zwei Mal längere Zeit in Peru verbracht, also habe ich sie eingeladen, über Peru zu berichten. Sie brachte Fotos, zeigte den Kindern auf dem Globus, wo Peru liegt, brachte peruanisches Geld und erzählte etwas über Kultur und Tierwelt. Schliesslich erzählte sie, dass die alten Inkas bereits die Kartoffel kannten und dies dann von den Spaniern nach Europa gebracht wurde. Die Kinder konnten dann mit den mitgebrachten Kartoffeln stempeln, was ihnen viel Spass machte. Man sieht, sie sind gerade fest im HCD-Fieber (Hockey Club Davos, der im Schweizer Eishockey Final steht)! 🙂
Today one of the children’s cousins came to be our „guest teacher“. She is a teacher by profession and has twice spent up to a year in Peru so far, so I invited her to tell us more about Peru. She showed us photographs, showed the children where Peru is on the globe, brought Peruvian money and told us about culture and nature (especially animals). Finally, she told us that the old Incas already knew the potato and that this was then brought to Europe by the Spanish explorers. The children then had the opportunity to make stamps with the potatoes she had brought along and they had a lot of fun with it. As you can see, they are quite absorbed with their favorite hockey club right now, which is playing in the Swiss finals! 😉
