Es war toll, die partielle Sonnenfinsternis heute in der Sternenwarte Schwanden mitzuerleben! Wir bekamen alle spezielle Brillen, mit denen wir die Sonne gut beobachten konnten, doch vor allem die Teleskope und die Projektion auf einer riesigen Leinwand waren der Hit bei den Kindern. Schnüseli war etwas enttäuscht, dass man ohne spezielle Brille gar nicht so viel von der Sonnenfinsternis merkte (es wurde nicht dunkel), doch das zeigte ihr auch, wie unglaublich stark das Licht der Sonne ist, wenn es auch bei 30% voll strahlt!

It was great to experience the partial solar eclipse at the planetarium today! We all got special glasses which allowed us to look at the sun safely, but the telescopes and the projection on a huge screen were especially popular with the children. Honeybunny was a little disappointed that you didn’t notice the solar eclipse except when wearing the special glasses (it didn’t get dark), but that also showed her how incredibly strong the sun’s light is, when it’s still so bright with only 30% of its light!
