Heute trafen wir uns wieder mit einigen anderen Homeschoolern aus dem Berner Oberland und zwar für einen besonderen Anlass. Eine Frau war gekommen, um uns ihren Blindenführhund vorzustellen und uns zu erklären, wie ein Hund zu einem Blindenführhund wird und was er alles tun kann. Es war ein spannender und praktischer Vortrag und die Kinder waren hin und weg von Xandor, dem Hund! Anschliessend haben wir noch ein Buch über das Thema gelesen und wir werden sicher die Blindenführhundschule auch noch besuchen!

Today we met up with some other homeschoolers from the region and had a special event with them. A lady had come to introduce us to her seeing-eye dog and to explain to us how a dog becomes a seeing-eye dog and all the things he can do. It was an exciting and practical presentation and the children just loved Xandor, the dog! The next day we read a book about it and we will certainly go visit the seeing-eye dog training school in the near future!
