Heute besuchten wir den Mittelaltermarkt in Kiesen. Wir haben zwar zurzeit gerade das Thema „Früher“, aber lernen da eher wie das Leben vor ca. 100 Jahren war. Das Mittelalter war ja von ca. 800-1400 n.Chr., wie wir heute auch hörten. Auf dem Markt wurde viel gezeigt und gespielt und die Kinder konnten vieles selber ausprobieren. Schnüggu übte sich im Pfeilbogenschiessen und beide bohrten Löcher in Steine. Schnüseli liebte die Henna-Malerei auf ihrer Hand und das geknüpfte Armband, das sie machen konnte. Manche der Gestalten, die sich auf dem Markt herumtrieben, waren ihnen ungeheuer, wie z.B. der reiche Mann mit einer sog. Hexe, die er gefesselt mit sich zog oder der dreckige Bettler. Den Schaukampf fanden sie aber toll. Nächstes Jahr gehen wir bestimmt wieder!
Today we visited the Middle Ages market in a town nearby. We are actually currently doing a unit study on what life was like about 100 years ago, but the Middle Ages were about 800-1400 AD, as we heard today. The people at the market took the time to show and act out a lot and the children could try out many things themselves. Buddyboy tried to shoot with bow and arrow and both of the children drilled holes into rocks. Honeybunny loved the Henna-painting on her hand and the knotted bracelet she got to make. Some of the figures walking around the market scared them a little, such as a rich man pulling a so-called witch behind him or a dirty beggar. They really liked the show fight, however. Next year we’ll definitely go again!
